Strawberry Short cake: From Scratch
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of Pancake Mix
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 pint Strawberries
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- Whipped Cream
- Extra Strawberries
Method for Shortcakes
- Mix the Pancake mix and butter together until they are properly mixed. Make sure that when you squeeze the dough, it stays in place like a rock. If not, then add a little more butter.
- Form into little balls and put into a toaster oven on 350 F for 15 mins or until golden brown.
Method for Strawberry Syrup
- Cut the strawberries into small pieces and put them into a pot with the sugar.
- Heat up the strawberries and sugar on the stove. Make sure to keep stirring.
- Keep stirring until the mixture has a syrupy texture. Let cool.
Assembly
- Take out a bowl. Put the shortbread into the bowl.
- Put 5 spoons of syrup on top of the bread.
- Cut two strawberries and put it on top of the syrup.
- Put some whip cream on top.
